The Intersection of Yoga and Buddhism
Teacher: Zen Master Hae Kwang

Session One: November 4 / 19:00 EST (See this in your time zone) Session Two: November 18/ 19:00 EST (See this in your time zone)

All classes are recorded and recordings are usually posted within 48 hours.

Description: These classes will provide an overview of the themes and practices common to both classical Yoga and Zen Buddhism, as well as their significant differences, and the influence these two traditions have had on each other. We'll also discuss how the two practices (Zen meditation and asana practice) might be combined to the enhancement of both.

About the Teacher: Stan Lombardo began practicing Zen with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1978. He was one of the founders of the Kansas Zen Center in 1978, received inka (full authorization to teach) from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1992, and transmission from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1998. He is the guiding teacher of the Morning Star Zen Center (Fayetteville AR) and the Kwan Um group at the Ecumenical Buddhist Society (Little Rock AR).
